If you have never been on a mission trip you may not understand this portion of the trip. For those of you who have been on one, I’m sure you understand the importance of a down day before returning to process the experiences we have had. Yes, it looks like a vacation day, but emotions are raw. If it is your first time, you may not yet understand some of the poverty you have seen your mind does not always comprehend the joy that is seen in people that in our country would be completely devastated With their living situation. God’s beauty is everywhere and Brickey Island is no exception. After breakfast and our devotions, we loaded up in our vans for a trip to the airport. Once we landed, we took another short van ride to a beach with transport boats standing by. We climbed a board and motor across the bay for a final ride to our hotel.

We arrived at the hotel, checked out the pool Had some lunch and explored the beach. That evening we had a sunset sale on a non-motorized catamaran. Afterwards, we returned for a team dinner back at the hotel. Each night we took turns sharing our testimonies many of them were very deep and . Tonight was no exception. I’m thankful to have a team that developed enough trust to share.

We woke up the next day April 14th and were able to relax by the pool until 2 PM, then back to The dock, boat across the bay, board the airplane, fly back to Manila, sit in an hour and a half of traffic, and arrived for the last night in our Manila hotel. Monday morning April 15th we woke up left for the airport at 10 AM for our 6 PM flight. Yes it took that long to get through traffic back to the airport through security and ready for our international flight home. Due to the time Difference 23 hours later we landed in SFO at 9 pm, went through immigration, took our shuttle back to Church and made it home just before midnight Still on Monday
I am honored and blessed to observed with such a great team.
What an amazing trip! You and the team really blessed a lot of people.
