July 25
After a good nights rest, and a few good meals, we took the shuttle back to the trail and it started walking at 12:30. When the shuttle arrived at the trail head, there were 10 hikers, waiting to go into town. Just after re-entering the trail from the roadway I’ve come to this foot bridge and pretty stream. I’m sure much more of this lies ahead.
Within a few minutes I came to a second bridge.
Washington also suffers its fire scar areas. This one is a few years old and the ender growth is growing well.
Mount Adams now stands directly in front of us a few days ago, like all of our other peaks. It seems so far away and yet today we are at its base.
The trail is passing through a beautiful mix of wildflowers, fuchsia, pink, yellow, purple, orange, and white. Oh, enter mixed together.
I rounded a corner and received this view
We have a mountain pond that we passed on the way to the campsite down below. We are camped with a great view at Mount Adams next to the meadow we have a glacier feed river 100 yards from our tents.
