Day 58 Adam and Sarah

Two amazing people united as one. This is the reason I came off trail this weekend. When I learned about Adam and Sarah‘s wedding, I was truly bummed I would not be here. I had no idea I would be able to attend. I had declined the invitation as I knew I would be deep in the Sierra portion of the trail. God has his own plans!

When in Wrightwood I struggled with why we did not feel we should be hiking. Those days off  hiking set the timeline for me to be here for this wedding. As I started looking at my hiking pace and the calendar, I realized I would be at the end of my flip And traveling to Ridgecrest in perfect timing to rent the car and drive home.

I was honored to be present as they committed their married life to Jesus. I was able to hang out with my friends from church and enjoy an evening of fellowship.

God’s plans are perfect and I am grateful that he allowed me to be a part of this celebration.

As a bonus, I was able to go to lunch with my oldest and youngest sons and my daughter. The oldest actually came to town today, which was an unexpected surprise.
