Today is an unplanned zero! I sent a food resupply here to Callahans but it won’t arrive until Tomorrow. I did get a ride to REI in Medford for a new pair of shoes from Dan. When I went to Adam and Sara’s wedding last month, I met Dan. He has a cabin just off the PCT and we are scheduled to meet on Wednesday for a Nero, real bed and good food. He was kind enough to pick me up at Callahans and take me to REI and back a couple of days early. Thank you DAN you are now an official Trail angel.
It’s a long day when you have nothing to do and nowhere to go. The food here is very good though.
A few other hikers have come in today. There are a few more tents by mine now.
I’m really bummed that I did not get my miles in today. I was hoping to be about 20 miles farther down the Trail, but I suppose there are worse places to have to wait for my mail.
For now I will go to bed praying that my food delivery comes tomorrow earlier in the day rather than later.
