Day 182 Hello Again Washington

Woke up at 4:40 picked up Marty at 5 AM for my ride to the airport. Boarded without issue and I am off to Washington for my final 260 miles on the PCT!

Josh picked me up from the airport, which had the longest wait for luggage to come out on the carousel I’ve ever seen, and we headed towards Snoqualmie pass. We grabbed some lunch on the way and I was walking at 2:42

As I start up the hill, I am immediately reminded that this last section is going to have significant ups and downs every day. The mountains around me are steep and sharp.

Soon I entered the Alpine Lake wilderness

As I continue uphill, I can look down at the highway where I started at Snoqualmie pass. The barren hillside is the ski slope that the trail goes right through the middle of leading down to the highway where the trail head is that I started out this morning there’s also a picture of this mountain close to level at the top that is the same very pointed mountain peak that was in my previous picture. I also passed the 2400 mile mark laid out on the trail.

At the top of the climb the trail become a very narrow with a steep upper cliff on the left and a steep drop off on the right

There are cool jagged peaks across the valley from me, while the trail goes through this large boulder and scree field

I arrived at ridge lake. There’s a short side trail that takes me down to the shore and a nice place to pitch my tent.

These two seem interested in checking out my camp, and what I am having for dinner.
