We slept in for the first time this trip. When we decided to start with brunch and look up more, GPT recommended online and found Golzleme Turkish Café. Golzleme is a Turkish stuffed flatbread typically served as street food. This one is lamb, spinach and feta. I also got a Turkish coffee.
The bread was made fresh rolled out in front of us. I am definitely a fan of all the foods I I do not regularly eat. I am a fan of strong coffee and Turkish coffee definitely is that.
The restaurant is in a open air market. Looking through the market, you can see the growing city in the background.
We came across the American donut kitchen trailer. This is another one of the food places on my tour list so we had to stop to get a dessert. They literally are rolled out and made to order the warm jelly is piped in to the freshly cooked donut ball, and hand it to you as you pay.
Following our food, we headed to the Yarra river where we will be doing a one hour river cruise around Melbourne
We passed a city park with a large sculpture on the Riverside. And go under a few road crossing bridges. I guess on this last one I know why the ship is so low to the water.
Along a portion of the river is this floating boardwalk athletic trail.
After the river boat cruise, we walk through town a little bit more. Regina found a restaurant that serves paper Brazilian drink is one of her favorites. We stopped in and she chatted it up with one of the Brazilian workers ordered some drinks and ended up getting three for the price of one!
We crossed over a bridge with a lot of sculptures on it and headed to the sky tower, The tallest building in below pictures
We went to the top floor observation room and an amazing view of the entire area.
After the glass cube, we went to an observation deck to see it slide out of the side of the building.
Next, we waited around for the sunset, enjoying the views. The sunset is amazing and I was able to get a time lapse video of it.
To finish off our night, we walked to an authentic Turkish restaurant, complete with loud booming Turkish music and people at tables with hookah pipes. The buildings in the city are lit up.
