May 19
We woke up this morning to a fairly steady rain. Our breakfast was served at a restaurant down the street from the hostel, and the rain slowly decreased as we ate. We set off with high clouds, but dry sky over us.
The street leading us back to the trail was uphill, and once we reached the trail, we immediately dropped right back down as we passed more older stone structures
The trail passes over a railroad track stretching through green fields.
The streets this morning are crowded both with locals driving around and many pilgrims on the trail. We continue on into a more rural setting
We passed under a large oak with a curved archway branch over the trail
Behind us as a beautiful view of the bay with a modern bridge in the background
Trails continues to be very busy with many other hikers. We leap frog each other as we stop for different views stand out before us.
People. So many of my pictures and postings miss people today my goal is to try to rectify this trend with more people pictures. We passed by a park that has A stone structure with a faucet For water.
We enter a forested area after walking up a long steep road. We cross road with a makeshift monument that people have hung momentos of those they have lost, and then walk back into another beautiful lush and green section
With a break in the trees, we can look down at the bay below us. It is another one of those views that the camera will not do justice for.
People. So many of my pictures and postings miss people today my goal is to try to rectify this trend with more people pictures.
We continue on past more amazing views, a couple of shrines, any monument to some of the Countries pilgrims come from as we arrive at the town of Arcade Where we stop for a brief coffee break.

As we walk the city quickly transitions to a small town. We come to a large Stone bridge over the river and then walk through the very narrow streets of an old community.
Sitting on a stone wall is this smoky gray cat watching us walk by
We dropped out of the old town onto a dirt path lined by the other appears to be very old rock walls covered in moss and Ivy before crossing a bridge
We continued through an area of vegetation come across a small “rest stop” there’s a tarp given a little bit of cover some days of Haehl to sit on and a woman selling souvenirs and copies of our group. Met up here before continuing on through more areas full of vegetation.
A little further up the trail come across another resourceful or local, who has made his own food truck
We continue down the trail which remains and a heavily wooded area. There’s a brief break as we cross over a highway. All of the nature today has been a nice change from our previous days.
The trail joins a road and we see a sign for a nearby café. We Are hungry and stopped for for lunch before continuing on
We come to a large tunnel under the roadway And after passing through, arrive to the city of Pontevedra.

Pontevedra Is a mix of older Stone structures and newer modern structures.
We arrive At the cities, main cathedral and meet the rest of our group along with representatives from the Tour company that has arranged our hotels along the route.
Tonight is our splurge night. I escorted a few ladies to our lodging for tonight. We are staying in a 16th century palace that was owned by a Spanish Baron. It has been turned into a Parador (an up scale hotel).
After cleaning up, we went back out to the town, walked past another Old building, A beautiful fountain, And found a Michelin star restaurant that served us family style tapas. A dog Occasionally watched from the apartment window above us. It was adorable.
