Tonight I fly home. We are heading to Denver on I-70 east. The highway goes through Glenwood Springs Canyon. Not only beautiful, but also an incredible engineering structure. The highway is elevated on the west bound side, and there are a couple of long tunnels through the mountain. The Colorado River runs along side the highway through the canyon.
After leaving the canyon Colorado continued to offer beautiful views along the highway
We stopped at the small Resort town of Frisco for brunch. It sits below a sharply pointed peak.The toast I had with breakfast was made from house made bread. It was so good I bought a whole loaf to take home.
Continuing back on the highway we pass a good looking lake, unfortunately, my picture has a little bit of the sun glare from the car window. Soon we went entered the Johnson tunnel going through the middle of the mountain. It is another impressive engineering feet. We continue to have beautiful mountain views.
