After a 3 hour layover in Tiape…
we arrived! My first post was on Friday the 5th, with the Philippines being 12 hours ahead, and 23 hours of travel, we arrived at 11:40 AM on Sunday the 7th! Saturday is a missing day on my title day count.
We gathered our bags and headed outside to meet the OneChild staff and head to our hotel. The traffic in Manilla is insane!
Once we arrived at our hotel, we met up with Jeff and Tim, our final two team members who had arrived the day before. Tim does business in the Philippines and his team purchased many of the supplies we are using. Although we had been traveling for the past day, we still needed to separate and pack each days gift bags. We are giving out over 500 gift bags to the children, and 120 bags to "Child Champion" staff
After a short walk to dinner, a welcome orientation, and overview of our coming weeks schedule, it was time for a well deserved bedtime.
