Paranaque, Philippines Day 5

This morning we again started with breakfast and devotions before loading into the vans for a drive to the heart of Paranaque and the Born in Zion Hope center. Today's arrival and activities were the same as in our previous days: a heartfelt greeting, prayer, song and VBS activities.

Today we held both a morning and afternoon session. Born in Zion church runs this center, and they have been blessed to rent out a space in town for the care of the children. We had a few children from the community, that are not a part of the hope center watching us. We invited them in and had them take part in our activities. 

As in our past days, each child received a gift bag. We were fortunate to be able to bring hand made backpacks, dolls, and dresses with us from a ministry small group called "Made with Love" based in our home area. The kids loved the gifts.

At the conclusion of our afternoon session, we walked through the community many of the children reside in. It is always humbling to me to see the love and joy shown by those in these communities that don't take their wealth for granted like us. We gathered with some of the community and prayed over them and their children.
